The Spring 2015 "Street approved" collection

As much as a winter witch that I am, I'm getting enough of the dirty snow around the streets. 
The craving of spring its getting stronger and hopefully in a couple of weeks the sun is going to shine bright and the flowers are going to start to come up. 
For now, here is a collection of the "street approved" ideas from the Spring 2015 RTW.
For those who doesn't have seasons like my lovely Bogota, you can start wearing white T-shirts and flowerful skirts, you lucky bastards.

Chanel putting white dresses and 3d printed flowers on the table. Not sure of the flowers to wear on a daily basis, but a bomber jacket and shift dress could work for a sunny day.

"El que de amarillo se viste a su belleza se atiene" - Wearing yellow might be challenging, its a hard color to wear. Hermes gave us mustard instead of yellow, contrasting it with black and white. Amen to that..

Wearing a white t-shirt will not be a sign that you might stay watching netflix the rest of the weekend, at least not for Michael Kors 

No need to live next to the central park to feel like an uptown girl and be able to go into Bergdorf Goodman. Oscar de la Renta was always inspired by rich girls, we might not be rich but we might have the soul of one

A Saint Laurent way to go back to the disco, with some gold. I turned it down a notch because lets be real, our parties are not even close of a Studio 54 kind of night.

Prints {Style Ideas}

Four great ideas to wear prints: 

Printed shorts.. you can find them in any color, style, fabric and shape, wear it with a plain top, and personally I would wear it with an oversized top, just to give less attention to my hips. And If your are using nude colors why don't you try a bright lipstick.

Shorts estampados: los puedes encontrar en cualquier color, estilo, tela y forma, usalo con un top de un solo color, y personalmente yo usaria un top de silueta amplia, solo para darle menos atencion a mi cadera. Y si estas usando colores   claros porque no intentar un labial de color fuerte. 

I know how frightening mixing prints can be, in some occasions it ends up being a disaster, but this combination of stripes and flowers its a great idea, wear it with neutral accessories.

Yo se que mezclar estampados puede llegar a ser algo muy peligroso, y hasta un desastre, pero esta combinacion de rayas y flores me parece buenisima idea, usalo con accesorios neutros.

prints on prints: if you are going to use a printed top & bottom, try to use one print bigger than the other one, and for a more flattering look, big prints at the top and more neutral prints at the bottom. 

Estampados con estampados: si vas a usar estampados en el top y en la parte de abajo, trata de que uno de los estampados del top sean mas grandes y llamativos que el otro, y para favorecer a la figura es mejor que los estampados del top sean los grandes y llamativos. 

 A flowered dress, I wouldn't say is a must but lets face it, sometimes you want to be as flowerfull as possible,   And for  those surprising chilly days of spring, an ivory light coat .

Un vestido de flores: No es una pieza necesaria para tener, pero hay que aceptarlo, en primavera a veces uno quiere estar lo mas floreado posible, es cuestión de naturaleza, y para esos dias frios que caen de sorpresa, un abrigo de material ligero

These past weeks have been all about changes: blizzards, hurricanes, with some sunny days in between, and in some way it makes me feel like my tropical Bogota, with sunny mornings, chilly afternoons, and rain once in a while, thats why today I bring to you the ultimate survival kit for transitional weather. The most important thing of this outfit is the layering, this will help you to feel fine if there is some sun, coat is gone but you still have a sweater on that keeps you warm, then when the sun goes down is amazing how temperature drops too. And the basics: sunglasses are needed in any season, a few accessories, and don't forget the umbrella,how con you go and sing under the rain without it?. 

Estas ultimas semanas ha sido de muchos cambios: tormentas de nieve, huracanes con algunos días soleados, y de cierta manera me hace sentir como en Bogota, con cálidos amaneceres, frías tardes y lluvia de vez en cuando, y por eso es que traigo a ustedes el ultimo kit de supervivencia para temporadas de transición o un día normal en Bogota. Lo mas importante son las capas, si hace sol te quitas el abrigo, aun tienes el saco para mantenerse cálido, luego la temperatura baja dramáticamente junto al sol y es hora de cubrirse otravez. Y los basicos: Gafas de sol que se necesitan todos los días, algunos accesorios y no olvidar la sombrilla, o si no como pretenden salir a cantar bajo la lluvia sin una sombrilla?

Stargazer dress {outfit}

Hay espacios escondidos en esquinas de polvo con un poco de estrellas, humo y colores extraños, esquinas donde me escondo y me siento bien, así también hay vestidos que flotan y vuelan en mi habitación y me dan poderes de caminar y flotar, de bailar y moverme con un aire extra de felicidad. Hay días en mi vida que me siento espectacular sin razón alguna, amanezco con un brillo que solo se ve a lo lejos y solo lo veo yo, hoy amanecí con ese esplendor de mil estrellas flotando en mi stargazer dress… 

There are some hidden places, on dusty corners with some stars hanging around , with smoke and strange colors, those corners where I hide just to feel a little bit better. there are also some dresses that flow around my room, they give me the gift of walk and drift, I can dance and move around with some extra air of happiness. There are some days where I feel gorgeous with no reason,and I wake up with a glow that it can only be seeing by me, today I woke up with that shine of a thousand stars floating on my stargazer dress

Its true that heels help your posture,  your tights look thinner and of course you look taller and sometimes sexier, but! I don't know about you but there are some days that I need to be on the ground for a while, also there are sometimes you have to walk with determination and there is nothing more dangerous for me that the art of walking and with heels is even worse!, so here are some flat inspiration for you to enjoy : ) , also I found this flats from Jeffrey Campbell which I definitely gonna get someday …

Easy {Outfit}

Easy doesn't mean that it was not complicated to choose what to wear , believe me , my closet will never be a happy place, every morning a constant struggle with the same story, a whole bunch of nothing to wear. That is why I decided to go basic, a good pair of shoes that I know will resist a day of bad steps, high wasted black  pants and a hoddie. It is not my usual kid of outfit, I do like details a lot, sometimes a do over accessorize, but in times of war, you go easy .

Facil no significa que no es complicado escoger que ponerse, la verdad es que mi closet siempre será un campo de batalla, cada mañana es la misma historia de no acabar: una cantidad de nada que ponerese. Por eso decidí irme hacia lo básico, un buen par de zapatos que resistan un día lleno de tropiezos, pantalones a la cintura, y un saco. No es lo que usualmente me pondría, voy mas hacia los detalles , puedo llegar a pecar con un poco de sobreaccesorizacion, pero en tiempos de guerra es mejor ir fácil.

This week my inspiration comes from the woman who won 4 oscars for best actress and was nominated for more that 10. But that is not the important thing about her, I just point it out because everybody is talking about oscars this week. Katharine Hepburn, was a fashion icon since she started her career,she was a pioneer for wearing pants at a time when it was radical for a woman to do so, (thanks to her trousers where acceptable for woman, we should thank her a lot!) .With strong personality and great talent, she broke the mold for women in hollywood, where she brought the shape of a strong woman with well consisted personality. She became to symbolize the "modern woman" .

Esta semana mi inspiración viene de una mujer que gano 4 Oscar como mejor actriz y fue nominada mas de 10 veces en toda su vida artistica. Aunque esa no es la razón de porque es para mi una inspiración, solo lo digo porque esta semana estan de moda los oscares. Katharine Hepburn desde los comienzos de su carrera fue un icono de la moda, fue la pionera de usar pantalones en una época donde no era imaginable usar pantalones una mujer, ( gracias a ella usar pantalones se volvió algo aceptable, así que tenemos mucho que agradecer). Con una fuerte personalidad y gran talento, Katharine Hepburn quiebro el molde de las mujeres de Hollywood, trajo una mujer fuerte con una personalidad constinstente. Gran símbolo de la mujer moderna.

There was something about today, that was pretty good….I forgot, maybe the hat, I don't know… And! here is what I wore.

Pink { Inspiration }

I can not think of other thing but the sweet smell of light pink roses falling from the sky like if an angel where in the middle of the church throwing blossoms in a ceremony. I also feel the pink of my cheeks and how blushing gets when I think of my dear love, that is far from me. I like the pink in my lips, no too bright , no too white, anyway I don't put too much makeup. I feel the spring across the street , now that I didn't had any snow to share, I anxiously wait to the flowers to explote. Im waiting myself to be using light dresses, and taking a cup of coffee out in the street like if I where in Paris ( I´ve never been there) Here's my inspiration for today, the sweet flowery and light pink, no silhouettes, no trends, no nothing , sorry is not my type, i'm still a fool being inspired by my senses.

No puedo pensar en otra cosa sino en el dulce olor de las rosas, callendo del cielo como si un ángel estuviera en el medio de una iglesia lanzando flores en una ceremonia. También siento mis mejillas rosas y como se sonrojan cuando pienso en el, que esta lejos de mi. Me gusta el rosa de mis labios, no muy fuerte, no muy blanco, y ahora que no tuve mucha nieve para compartir, espero ansiosamente las flores que exploten. Estoy esperando a poder utilizar otra vez mis vestidos y tomar una taza de cafe en las calles como si estuviera en Paris ( Nunca he estado en Paris ). Esta es mi inspiración de hoy, el dulce , florido y ligero del rosa, sin siluetas, sin tendencias, sin nada, lo siento no es mi tipo, sigo siendo alguien mas que se deja llevar por sus sentidos.
